BARWON Heads have extended their BPCA1 winning streak to nine after overcoming Drysdale by six wickets last weekend.

The Seagulls bowled first and skittled the Hawks for just 119, thanks to three wickets apiece from captain Daniel Donaldson and Angus Mackie.

They then chased down the target score in cruisy fashion to remain undefeated for the season and send Drysdale down to second-last on the ladder.

The Roos were sent in to bat first and finished with a solid score of 230, despite a four-wicket haul from Bulls bowler Joel Denyer.

Inverleigh upset Queenscliff after a strong performance with both bat and ball.

Locke Perrett took five wickets to help the Kookaburras bowl the Coutas out for 143, and opener Will Collins made an unbeaten 58 to propel his side to a seven-wicket victory.

Despite the win, Inverleigh still sit at the bottom of the ladder and Queenscliff remain in the top four after the loss.

Armstrong Creek survived an early scare with the bat to beat Jan Juc by 15 runs.

Both of the Titans’ openers being dismissed for ducks, a 64-run effort from Ben Norgrove saw them finish the first innings all out for 168.

The Sharks came close, but five individual wicket-takers led the reigning premiers to defend their score and jump up to fifth spot.

This weekend will bring another round of one day clashes, with Barwon Heads to host Queenscliff, Inverleigh to host Drysdale, Armstrong Creek to host Barrabool and Anglesea to host Jan Juc.

In the BPCA2, Ocean Grove beat Collendina, Surf Coast beat Newcomb, St Leonards beat Portarlington and Wallington beat Winchelsea.
