NEWTOWN & Chilwell and St Joseph’s will play off in a blockbuster GNL A Grade Qualifying Final at West Oval, with the reward a berth in the Grand Final.

The Eagles can make it an incredible 10 straight Grand Final appearances with a win, while Joeys have a chance to progress to the big dance for their first time since 2007.

While Newtown & Chilwell will enter the matchup as favourites, Joeys will take in plenty of confidence having handed the Eagles their only loss in the home and away season, in Round 7.

The loser will take on the winner of Sunday’s Semi-Final between South Barwon and Geelong West.

The Swans went down to Joeys by 18 points last weekend, trailing at every break. Meanwhile, the Giants prevailed over St Mary’s thanks to a strong four-quarter performance that saw them lead all day.

In their two home and away matchups, both sides won one game each, with the Giants winning by 20 in Round 5 and the Swans winning by 16 in Round 11.
