Suns to enter junior netball competitions in 2025

THE Surf Coast Suns will participate in Bellarine Football Netball Club (BFNL) junior netball competitions in 2025.

AFL Barwon’s newest expansion side will play in Netball 13&Under Division 1, 15&Under Division 1, 17&Under Division 1, and 19&Under competitions.

Following proactive and collaborative conversations between AFL Barwon and Newcomb FNC, the latter indicated they would not field teams during the 2025 winter season.

This has therefore provided the Suns with the opportunity to allow players to be part of competitions a season earlier than their club introduction to the BFNL in 2026.

All teams in netball competitions will now play two additional matches where a bye would have been schedule.

This will also maximise the home game fixtures for clubs expanding gaps in the day’s fixtures.

The Surf Coast Suns matches will be aligned to the Newcomb FNC BFNL home and away fixture for 2025.
