SURFER SAFE A surfer gives the thumbs up after he was rescued from being stranded on rocks at Bells Beach around 2.30pm on Sunday. Local police confirmed the male surfer was unable to paddle back to safety after being washed onto the rocks by high winds and heavy swell. His brother raised the alarm and the scene was attended by CFA members, SES volunteers, police and paramedics. The man was assessed at the scene but uninjured.
