WEDNESDAY – 4BBB Stableford Blue Tees – nice conditions for today’s men’s competition. The winners today lapped the field with Stan Humphreys (31) and Ted Matson (33) recording a great score of 48 points. Coming in second place were Dale Allan (11) and Julie Gaspari (33) on 45 points. Alan Hartley must have setup the tees on the 5th hole to suit his baby draw, holing out for 1 and claiming the nearest the pin. The other nearest the pin on the 13th hole went to Alan Marsh.

Thursday – Ladies Stableford Red Tees – tough conditions for the ladies today. Dot Tattersall [16] cleaned up the competition with 40 points from Merle Whitnall (32) on 37 points. Nearest the Pins today went to Marg Hales on the 7th and Wendy Muller on the 13th.

Saturday – Men’s Stableford Blue Tees – typical Torquay weather today with rain, strong winds, sun and a cool change. A grade winner was Jason Cranny [8] with 36 points on a countback from Geoffrey Proposch [10] also on 36 points. In B grade we had scores of the day come from Donald Clutterham [19] on 37 points on a countback from Terry Beggs [17] also on 37. C grade was a battle of the heavyweights with Alan Henderson [24] recording 36 points from playing partner Chris Nunan [25] on 34 points. Nearest the Pins went to Mark Eccles (5th), Mike Trickey (7th), Steve Troon (13th) and Riley Siketa (17th). Ladies Stableford Red Tees – the ladies competition was hotly contested, 4BBB Champion Christine Brackin [23] took the chocolates with 33 points from next week’s members spotlight focus Lynne Hyett [24] on 32 points. The Nearest to the
Pin went to Maggie Juniper (13th).

Sunday – Stableford Medley – ideal conditions today for golf. Jarrod Leibhardt (20) recorded score of the day to have 40 points to beat off Paul Binyon (9) on 39 points. The Ball pool went down to 35 points.
