GEELONG Amateur will take on Torquay in a highly anticipated top two battle at Queens Park Reserve tomorrow (Saturday, August 2nd).

In what may be a Grand Final preview, the second-placed Tigers will be looking to close the three game gap between them and the first- placed Ammos.

Torquay smashed Drysdale in Round 15, restricting them to just 23 points, while the Ammos beat a struggling Portarlington outfit by 130 points.

Modewarre will look to take another scalp as they face the fifth-placed Anglesea at Mount Moriac Reserve.

The Warriors upset the third-placed Queenscliff in round 15, while the Kangaroos held their spot in the top five with an important win against Barwon Heads.

Drysdale will look to bounce back from a disappointing performance against Torquay, as it hosts Ocean Grove in a match where a win can solidify its finals chances.

The last-placed Grubbers will take in some confidence, however, after getting their third win of the year against Newcomb last weekend.

Queenscliff will travel to Portarlington to take on the Demons, also looking to lock in a surprise finals berth.

After a disappointing loss to Ocean Grove, the Power are set to host the sixth-placed Barwon Heads. The Seagulls must win to remain a chance to sneak into the top five with just three rounds to play.
