Torquay Golf Club – April 12, 2018

SUNDAY April 1: Brad Thompson shot 41 points to win A Grade. B Grade went to Ron Cronin with 37 points. Sandra Lambert won the ladies scoring 32 points and our guest winner Colin Woodcock had 42 points. NTPs Michael Lewis, Sandra Lambert and Campbell North hit the jackpot.

Tuesday April 3: It was stroke for the ladies with the club medal once again up for grabs. Our A Grade winner Barbara Young-Harding shot net 70. B Grade winner Ros Holland had 73 and C Grade went to Barbara Stuchbery also with 70. The medal will be a three-way playoff Barbara Young- Harding, Barbara Stuchbery and Eleanor Douglas who also shot 70. Good luck to all the ladies in the next stroke round, which will be on May 1. Marina Naughton won the best putting. Viv Nicol took out the Resort competition with 40 points. We also had the first round of the nine-hole competition and taking the honors was Gill Patten on 18 points. NTPs Mandy Buckley, Bev Appleton, Angela Worthy, Wendy Johnson, Lesley Grebe and Wendy Poyner hit the jackpot.

Wednesday April 4: The men played par and Garry Smith shot +5 to take out A Grade. B Grade went to Ted Kershaw with +7. C Grade winner Fred Deane shot +6 and D Grade was won by Jim Fraser also with +7. Keith Nicholson had +7 to win the resort and our guest winner Warren Franklin shot +1. NTPs Garry Fletcher, Keith Mariner, Don Forsyth, Ross Forbes, Justin Willis and Peter Wills took out the jackpot.

Friday April 6: Steve Grayson shot +6 to win A Grade. Jim Fraser following on from his win on Wednesday shot +5 to take out B Grade. Anne Staig had +3 to take out the ladies and our guest winner Timothy Van Spaandonk (Sandhurst GC) had -3. NTPs Andy Clark, Deb Shoesmith, John Corcoran and Terry Dowling won the jackpot.

Saturday April 7: It was the men’s turn to win the medal. A Grade winner Ross Duff shot 68. B Grade winner Santo Giallo had 67. D Grade went to Philip Brown with 68. Great scores but not good enough to beat our C Grade and medal winner Tony Cosgrave who shot 66. Dee Matheson took out the ladies with 74 and was this month’s Saturday ladies medal winner. Resort winner Alan Tompkin had 42 points and our guest winner Christine Wilson had 74. NTPs David Stephens, Deb Shoesmith, Ronnie Beacom, Keith Warburton, Geoff Davie, John Corcoran, Barry Leith and Paul Cousins hit the jackpot.

Sunday April 8: Hayden Torney had 40 points to win for the men and taking out the ladies with 29 points Sandra Lambert. Vincent Chee was our guest winner scoring 36 points. NTPs Michael Davis, Cheryl Fitzpatrick, Andrew Fischer and Brian Boadle the jackpot.
