TUESDAY the ladies played stroke for the medal and Chris Rudd was our winner with 73 she also took out the A Grade win and B Grade went to Jeanette Kent scoring 74. Anne Staig was our Resort winner with 33 points and the 9-hole competition went to new member Clare Geaney 15 points. Shelly Clark won the best gross 83. NTPs Kathy Simson, Judy Bell, Wendy Poyner, Janice Pekin, Mandy Buckley and Chris Rudd hit the jackpot.
Wednesday Joe Magliano took out A Grade scoring 39 points. B Grade winner John Potter also had 39 points and C Grade went to John Nestor with 38 points. Seventeen players played the Resort competition today and Keith Nicholson won for the 2nd Wednesday after scoring 40 points last week he has followed up with 44 points this week. Guest winner Derek Christie (Southern GC) shot 31 points. NTPs Ward Szymczak, James Wood, Greg Baeck, Andrew Young, Wayne Nitschke and John Monagle won the jackpot.
Friday was not looking good weather wise for golf as it poured rain most of Thursday night and the wind howled around the course. But the rain stopped and the sun came out so our golfers teed off hoping that Mother Nature would at least let them finish their rounds. Luckily it was fine for the afternoon! Ian Foot scored well to take the A Grade win with 38 points and for B Grade Gerard Hyland shot 35 points. Wanda Paterson took out the ladies with 33 points. NTPs Raymond Liley, Wanda Paterson, Gary Gemmola, Barbara Young-Harding, and Trevor Chappell hit the jackpot.
Saturday was another bleak day strong winds and rain prevented quite a few golfers from playing especially in the morning. Most of the afternoon players managed to get their rounds in and there were some good scores posted. A Grade winner Andrew Carr shot 66 and was this month’s medal winner. B Grade winner Tony Hopwood shot 70. Lady’s winner Kaylene Potter had 88 and the Resort ladies win went to Sue Booth with 34 points. Guest winner Andrew Ellem had 69. NTPs Tim Sinnott, Eric Black, Andrew Ellem, Adam Conquest and Eric Black hit the jackpot.
Sunday John McKay shot an impressive +5 to win the men’s competition only 48 players entered today. The ladies were not brave enough to tackle todays weather. NTPs Andy Clark, Robert Speakman and Ado Cations took out the jackpot.
