Torquay Golf Club – March 1, 2018

TUESDAY: our competition field for today was still on the temporary course and feedback from the ladies was that they seem to like it without the 3rd hole in play! Scores were high today as not only did the ladies play the short course but the weather was also good. A Grade winner Gill Strickland scored +3. B Grade winner Carole Mayne shot +2. Gay Bell took out C Grade with the score of the day +5. Valma Davis won the Resort with +4. NTPs Ainsley McCallum, Sandra Duff, Barbara White, Carole Mayne and Norma Veale hit the jackpot.

Wednesday: Michael Lunney won A Grade with 43 points. B Grade winner Errol Morris also scored 43 points. C Grade went to Geoff Steer with another 43 points and D Grade winner George Arnold had the score of the day with 45 points. Don Jennings had the win for the Resort with 44 points. The guest winner George Onciarich (Mandalay GC) with 37 points. Super 6 winners for this month were Bill Young 17 and Terry Lyons 16 points. NTPs Ross Martin, John Richards, Tony Jones, Geoff Grayling, Kevin O’Neill and Ian Sweet hit the jackpot.

Friday: Graham Travers had 42 points to take out A Grade. B Grade went to Rod Lynch also with 42 points. Robyne Soulsby won the ladies scoring 36 points. John Baker won the guest competition scoring 41 points. NTPs Robert Brzozek, Rod Lynch and David Littlewood hit the jackpot.

Saturday: Brendan Inglis shot 37 points to win A Grade. B Grade winner Andrew Young shot 42 points. C Grade went to Kevin Mitchell with 38 points. Resort winner Steve Stadler had 38 points to win A Grade and Peter Orwin won B Grade with 40 points. Marg Joyner was our ladies’ winner scoring 40 points. Jamie Fisher was our guest winner with a score of 42 points. NTPs Rod Brown, Marg Joyner, Sue Booth, Tony Mensch, Damien Harrington, John Brunt, Ward Szymczak, Ray Furphy hit the jackpot.

Members will see on the website that guest day is being held on March 18. You are welcome to bring two pairs for the day which will be a 4BBB event with afternoon tea included for only $5per player.
