Torquay Golf Club – March 29, 2018

Saturday March 17: Today was the quarterly Black Tee medal. Day 3 players finished on +4. Brad Thompson, Ray Furphy and Haydn Veitch who won the medal on countback and was also our B Grade winner for the day. Ray Furphy took out the A Grade win. Blue tee winners were A Grade Doug Hutchinson +2. B Grade Bill Fitzpatrick +4 and C Grade winner Paul Delandre had +5. Resort winner Terry Lyons had +4 and our guest winner Michael Tsolakkis with +1. NTPs Paul Walters, Terry Lyons, Gary Watson, David Clark, Max Simpson and Dave Kilmartin hit the jackpot.

Sunday March 18: we had the morning competition and in the afternoon our guest day event. Our morning winner Richard Ibbotson scored 32 points. The wind was howling as our members and guests headed out onto the course for the 4BBB competition and as windy as it was we had a full field of players that braved the elements. Men’s winners were Gordon Kent and Darren Bartlett with 45 points. Our mixed competition winners Wendy Callahan and Don Callahan also had 45 points. NTPs Colin Mayes, Gordon Kent, Rodney Brooker, Darren Shiels and Bill Bond hit the jackpot.

Tuesday March 20th: the ladies played stableford today and our A Grade winner Gill Strickland had 40 points. B Grade winner Lesley Grebe 35 points and C Grade winner Maggie Snow also had 35 points. Gwen Sturrock was our Resort winner with 31 points. Secret Super 6 winners were Maggie Snow14 points and Resort Valma Davis 14 points. NTPs Pam Jones, Marina Naughton, Marjorie Bayard, Gill Patten, Valma Davis, Gill Strickland and Cheryl Brunt hit the jackpot.

Wednesday March 21st: Garry Lenehan shot net 70 to win A Grade. Trevor Doolan had the score of the day March 67 to take out B Grade. C Grade winner Greg Touzel shot 72. Alan Douglas won the Resort with 36 points and our men’s guest winner Kym Stock had 76. NTPs Andy Clark, Evan Huebner, Ian Dendle, Ken Reddrop, Jayson Moran and Doug Young hit the jackpot. Friday March 23rd: Ian McGregor shot 40 points to win A Grade. The score of the day March however was new member Joel Cormick taking out B Grade with 52 points. Judy Hodgkins won the ladies with 38 points and guest winner Pete Janovik won scoring 41 points. NTPs Alan Tompkin, John Brunt, Deb Shoesmith and Arthur Crofts the jackpot.

Saturday March 24th: our A Grade men’s winner was John Laidlaw with 40 points. B Grade winner Ken Munro also shot 40 points. Our Resort winner was Brian Brown with 37 points and the ladies’ winner Lyn Brady had 32 points. Our guest winner Joel Moore had 33 points. NTPs Ray Furphy, Brian Brown, Neil Dugdale, Nicholas Halliwell, Eric Black, Lyn Brady and Paul Walters was the jackpot winner.
