TORQUAY GOLF CLUB – November 08, 2018

MONDAY once again it was time for the Vets/Seniors and in great 12-hole form was our men’s winner Pat Skene with 31 points. Lady’s winner Ruth Dickins also in fine touch scored 30 points. NTPs Lesley Grebe and George Udvardy. It is nearly time for the Christmas Break-up game so get your name down before you miss out it will be on December 17 the booking sheet is open.

Tuesday was stableford for the ladies and A grade went to Marina Naughton with 42 points. B grade winner Clare Fitzpatrick had 41 points and C grade was won by Barbara Stuchbery 39 points. Isabel Mahon took out the Resort competition scoring 35 points. NTPs Norma Veale, Marina Naughton, Wendy Lawson, Tim Ratcliffe, Barbara Stuchbery and Bev Appleton hit the jackpot.

Wednesday Paul Horne shot 42 points to take out A grade. B grade winner Geoff Davie had 43 points. C grade went to Michael Brady with 41 points and D grade was won by Craig Schmidt 44 points. Doug McGregor won the Resort competition with an impressive 45 points. NTPs Brett Duyvestyn, Tyson Gill, Geoff Walters, John Richards, Geoff Lamont and Max Ellis hit the jackpot.

Friday in windy conditions Jayson Moran had an impressive +6 to win A grade. B grade winner Herb Hertaeg also had +6, what windy conditions! Deb Shoesmith won the ladies with -2 and guest winner Anthony Hay shot +1. NTPs Arthur Crofts, Deb Shoesmith, Ian McGregor, Jayson Moran hit the jackpot.

Saturday monthly medal was up for grabs and some good scores were posted in yet another blowy day. Robert Muffet was our A grade winner with 67. B grade went to Greg Dennis scoring 65. Greg will playoff for the medal next month against Darren Bartlett who also finished on 65. C grade winner Ken Scott 67. Sue Barnes was our ladies winner scoring 66. Don Stuchbery took out the Resort win with 39 points and our guest winners Dale Baldi (Shepperton GC) 68 and Ann Leembruggen 77. NTPs Michael McKinnon, Bradley Green, Inge Oliver, Rod Chappell, Ronnie Beacom, Chris Fitzgerald, Callum Yates and Trevor Bell hit the jackpot.

Sunday Joe Cengic shot +5 to win A grade. B grade Arthur Naoumidis had the score of the day with +9. Judy Bell took out the ladies
+2. Guest winners Tim Wilson +4 and Annette Philp -3. NTPs Judy Bell, Paul Furtado, Jace Kelly and Craig Jarvis hit the jackpot.
