TORQUAY GOLF CLUB – November 29, 2018

MONDAY was time for the Vets/Seniors and although it was cold and windy we still had 84 players. Steve Kunjka shot an impressive 33 points for 12 holes to take out the men’s, well done to Steve he is one of our new members and is already enjoying playing in this event every month. And for the ladies Helen Bloink had 27 points. NTPs Philip Smith and Mary Sweet.

The next round for our Vets/Seniors is the Christmas party breakup it will be on the 17th of December and lunch will cost $30pp. If you do not wish to play but would like to have lunch, please call the golf shop so we can get you booked in. Bob will also be announcing the winners of the best six scores throughout the year.

Tuesday was stableford for the ladies and taking out A grade was Cheryl Mostyn with 38 points. B grade went to Kaylene Potter 39 points and C grade winner Jacqui Nelson had the score of the day 43 points. Taking out this week’s Resort win was Ann Denham with 40 points. Super six winners Red tees Jacqui Nelson 15 points and Green Tees Tim Ratcliffe 15 points. NTPs Clare Fitzpatrick, Marina Naughton, Norma Veale, Gail Richards and Lesley Beltrame hit the jackpot.

Wednesday Doug Thomas shot 40 points to win A grade. B grade went to Chris Thompson with 45 points. Ken Ballard had 43 points to take out C grade and D grade winner Wayne Tozer had 41 points. Fred Pyke was our Resort winner with 43 points. Super six winner’s Blue tees Ken Nunn 17 points and Green tees Fred Pyke 17 points. NTPs Ross Forbes, Graham Jennings, Justin Morris, Tyson Gill, Philip Smith and Ross Bottomley.

Friday Jayson Moran had 38 points to win A grade. B grade winner Gordon McComb shot 40 points. NTPs Geof Davie, Ray Frost and Rodger Thomas hit the jackpot.

Saturday was back to the Black tee challenge and Rod Papworth shot 40 points to win A grade and take out this month’s trophy. B grade went to John Anderson 39 points. Blue tees: Ben Thomas won A grade with 38 points. B grade winner Trevor Doolan had 37 points and C grade went to Alan Fennell 38 points. Don Stuchbery won the Resort competition with 41 points and the ladies winner was Heather Dixon 35 points. NTPs Steve Grayson, Greg Baeck, Tim Ratcliffe,  Bob Darby, Ross Forbes, Jim Cairns and Rick McNamara hit the jackpot.

Sunday Garry Hoggins shot 42 points to win for the men. NTPs Karen Bourke, Annette Joyce, Ken Scott, Greg Giampiccolo and Margot Bradley hit the jackpot.
