Tuesday Melbourne Cup Ambrose day. There were 44 in the men’s, 40 in the ladies & 36 in the mixed competitions. And as usual there were some outrageous costumes on show. We must make mention of one team 4 men in matching flamingo shirts not only worn after the event but during their golf round. May have set the bar for next year’s event! And might have even outshone the ladies this year. Our winning team for the ladies was Jenny McGaw, Helen Paull, Dee Matheson & Ali Bouchier with 59.875. Winning for the men was Nick Turnbull, Travis Agg, Tim Francis & Shane Collins 51 & taking out the mixed competition Mark Ferguson, Janine Ferguson, Terry Thompson & Dale Thompson 56.125. NTPs Ali Bouchier, Shane Collins, Dave McPhail, John Brunt, Dee Matheson. Straightest drives Karen Bourke & Stuart Hill.

Wednesday the men played Texas Scramble and we had a shotgun start in the morning & afternoon. AM winners were Ian Foot & Don Holmes 89 & Runners up Greg Brinsmead & Ed Featherston 83.

PM winners Paul Horne & Matt Carboon 92 & Runners up Ted Kershaw & Tim Sinnott 87. Resort winners Murray Gannon & Ian Colwell had 83. NTPs Andrew Young, Bruce Dyer, John Berridge, Matt Carboon, Ross Forbes & Tyson Gill hit the jackpot.

Friday Graham Travers shot 40pts to win A grade. B grade went to Lester Oldham with 43pts.

Wendy Lawson had 38pts to win the ladies & guest winner Peter Nash had 32pts. NTPs Ray Liley,Cheryl Brunt, Andrea Stadler, Paul Brunt & Robert Muffet hit the jackpot.

Saturday Rick McNamara won A grade with 42pts. B grade winner John Laidlaw had 41pts & C grade went to Jarrod Young with the score of the day 43pts. Inge Oliver was our lady’s winner with 39pts. Resort win went to Ross Forbes 40pts. Guest

Sunday AM stableford Greg Giampiccolo44pts & for the ladies junior Emma Pearce shot an impressive 50pts, we are watching that handicap come down & down! This afternoon we held our Guest day & winners for the men were Neil Henderson & Robert Leigh with 50pts & the mixed winners were Lester Oldham & Sandra Lambert 52pts. NTPs Reno Beltrame, Chris Astbury, Colin Stephens, Ken Stanley, Don Callahan, Chris Branch, Sandra Lambert, Sue Brittnell & Wendy Callahan.
