BELLS Beach will play host to the first round of the 2026 No TXT No Wrecks Victorian Junior Surfing Titles next weekend.

The pinnacle of junior surfing in the state, the tri-event series is the pathway to the Australian Junior Surfing Titles and is a key component of the Victorian Junior Surfing Pathway.

Divisions for the event include Under 14, Under 16 and Under 18 in both boys and girls, with the top surfers in each division awarded a place in the state team.

Surfing Victoria chief executive officer Adam Robertson said series play a key role in nurturing the next generation of Victorian surfers.

“The No TXT No Wrecks Victorian Junior Surfing Titles are a vital part of our junior development pathway, giving young surfers the opportunity to build competitive experience, confidence and surf smarts in a supportive environment.”

The series will once again promote the dangers of distracted driving through the No TXT No Wrecks campaign that highlights how using your mobile phone whilst driving can lead to disaster.

Victorian surfers regularly travel to beaches on the state’s regional road network, which consistently has higher rates of fatal and serious injury crashes.

“We know that surfers spend a lot of time searching for the perfect wave and that means a lot of time in the car. The campaign helps spread that awareness of the risks of distracted driving,” Mr Robertson said.

Entries for all three stops of the No TXT No Wrecks Victorian Junior SUrfing are now open at surfingvic.com/events
