Big things ahead at The Village

Welcome to The Village! There is exciting news for the Surf Coast and surrounding communities as the Village Birth studio expands its services for everyone.

“We are very passionate about providing a safe place for women moving through matresence (the physical, emotional, hormonal and social transition to becoming a mother), however we wanted to broaden our services to become more inclusive,” Village Birth founder Talia said.

“We’ve had lots of people outside the perinatal demographic wanting to do classes in our studio, simply because it feels good and they value our experience in the industry, as well as our approach to movement with ‘heart’ in a time of franchise fitness.”

And so came Village Wellness Surf Coast, the new overarching brand that is set to launch in the next few weeks, as the business expands into the ground floor of the building it presently occupies on Cylinders Drive.

The new studio will offer a generous yoga timetable with various styles from some of the most loved teachers around (including lunch time classes for those in the area and dedicated peri/menopause classes).

It will also provide a second equipment based studio for those seeking an alternative to the gym, that will meet cardio, strength and fitness needs.

There will be specialised Teenage Reformer Pilates to support the health and wellbeing of our local kids and dedicated classes for over 50s.

“The Village is all about multi-generations of knowledge and wisdom coming together like glue to help one another. It’s a community,” Talia said.

“We encourage people of all ages and stages of life to get curious about what we are offering and try something new.”

Village Wellness is now the home of mindful movement for everyone, and all existing Village Birth services.

One of the biggest announcements is the news that they will also offer a child-minding service to make some classes more accessible for parents.

“It will be game-changing, especially for the parents who enjoy the West Coast Business Park community as it grows,” Talia said.

“There’s so much happening out here now and it’s only going to get better.

“We are already dreaming up phase 3 of our Village expansion, which includes a healthy, child friendly café onsite.

“We are currently seeking collaborations with professional hospitality operators, watch this space!”
