Where all customers can find relaxation

Pinch Salt and Float owner Leah Jett has grown her business organically.

Pinch Salt and Float owner Leah Jett says a few years ago she never thought she would have a successful business in the wellness industry.

But fast forward five years and Pinch Salt and Float in Ocean Grove is going from strength to strength.

“The way it evolved was so organic and I’ve loved every second of it,” Leah said.

“I have always been naturally drawn to the mindset that nature has the answers for everything.

“When my husband was struggling with sleep due to his odd hours working in the music industry I suggested a float and it helped him so much we explored a more natural approach to helping him relax and the idea was born to open a wellness centre in our home town.”

Leah started off with a float tank and float pool which holds 500 kilograms of Epsom salt.

“Epsom salt allows you to float effortlessly and absorb an abundance of magnesium,” she said.

“We also have a salt room, which allows you to breath in tiny particles of pharmaceutical grade salt reducing inflammation in the airways and is also amazing for skin issues such as acne, psoriasis and eczema.”

Over the past three years Pinch Salt and Float has expanded to include Infrared Saunas, which Leah said is great for heart health, skin conditions, detoxing, weight loss and sports recovery.

In addition to taking a sauna you can now have a dip in a cold water therapy pod afterwards.

“We also offer massage in the salt room, lymphatic drainage, massage chair and coming soon, vitamin IV,” Leah said.

“I’ve also started another little business within Pinch with a range a natural skincare.

“I wanted to offer my customers products for their skin after a float that were organic, vegan and were suitable for sensitive skin so Pure by Pinch was developed.

Leah has created Pure by Pinch, a vegan skincare range suitable for sensitive skin.

“I am extremely proud of this range and I wanted the packaging to be original, creative and look beautiful on your counter so I asked one of my favourite artists, Em Menzies, if she could be involved in the creation of the packaging which has turned out stunning.

“I have to mention I also receive so much in return offering these services to my customers, I appreciate everyone that walks through our doors and have made many friends.

“My customers are truly valued. Pinch is a safe place that makes you feel relaxed as soon as you walk through the doors.”
