FOR those who can’t wait the extra week for Easter festivities to begin, Catalyst Church Bacchus Marsh is holding an Easter Fun Day at Darley Community Art Garden (adjacent to the church) tomorrow from 10am.
Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy live entertainment, plus crafts and activities for the kids, including creative Easter-themed projects.
They’ll be able to try their luck in the picnic races or take part in outdoor lawn games. Pizza, snacks and drinks will also be available.
As church member and volunteer Dannii Cooper explained, while Easter events have taken place at the Gardens over the years, this is the first one Catalyst has been involved in.
“Catalyst is new in town and, after taking over the (adjacent) church and the property, has worked with the Community Art Garden to set up the day,” she said.
“The youth group that meets here on a Saturday night have organised some of the activities, and we’ll also have some market stalls and even Tongan dancers.
“There’s a little bit of everything for everybody – it’s a great opportunity for the community to hang out together and a fun, (cheap) afternoon.
“If you want a low cost family fun day, come along. It’s a great way to meet our community here.
“These days we’re all doing it tough, so we might as well do it tough together and have a good time.”
The Easter Fun Day takes place tomorrow, Saturday 12 April, from 10am to 2pm.
