Reunion leads to possible club revival

FOLLOWING the Ballan Tennis Club reunion in October, organisers are hopeful the organisation will be revived following a recess due to a lack of office bearers.

The club will hold an annual general meeting this Monday 1 December at the Ballan Recreation Reserve.

“At the reunion we decided we should try to get things going again,” Denis Conroy said.

“We have excellent facilities and although there are people using them, there is no formal club operating.

“The Moorabool Shire rebuilt the courts after COVID.

“We are looking for interest in getting the club kick-started again and are asking anyone interested to come along to the AGM on Monday.

“A few people have expressed interest in becoming office bearers.

“It’s a good start and we are hoping there will be more support and people putting their hands up at the meeting.

“There hasn’t been any development for juniors so it would be great to get a tennis school going for youngsters in the area.”

The Ballan Tennis Club AGM will start at 7pm.
