Chance to shape future events at business workshop
DESTINATION North Coast is hosting an interactive workshop aimed at exploring trends, strategies and new ideas to help shape future events in the region.
It will be held at the Ballina RSL Club on Thursday, November 20.
The session will be led by the group’s business events executive Heath Batterham, and will unpack sales best practice, client expectations, and how innovative thinking can boost event success.
Batterham has spent five years in his current role and has experience at Byron Bay resorts, as well as his own ventures in rural property development.
“The workshop offers an opportunity to connect with industry peers, share insights and collaborate on approaches that strengthen the North Coast’s position as a competitive national player in business events,” an event spokesperson said.
“This is a must-attend event for anyone involved in the business events industry on the North Coast who wants to stay ahead of trends and contribute to shaping the region’s success.”
Destination North Coast hosted a symposium in conjunction with Byron Shire Council earlier this year.
It brought together tourism operators, industry leaders and policymakers for a day of discussion, ideas and collaboration.
Yellow Brick Road chairman Mark Bouris was the keynote speaker at that event, providing insights on innovation in business. His address was followed by expert-led sessions on AI and market trends.
