LISMORE’S much-loved food, arts and culture festival, Norco Eat the Street, will return to the city’s CBD in August, bringing a full afternoon of food, entertainment and community celebration.
Running on 22 August from noon to 7pm, the event will once again transform Keen Street and The Quad into a pedestrian-friendly precinct showcasing local food, arts and culture.
The festival has moved from its previous November date to August, with the new date introduced in response to community feedback and expected to provide a more comfortable afternoon for families and food lovers.
Lismore City mayor Steve Krieg said this year’s event would continue the momentum created by the festival’s successful return in 2025 after a four-year absence.
“Now that the festival is firmly back on the calendar, we are focused on growing it further, providing an even bigger platform for our local cafes, restaurants and producers,” he said.
“Events like this play a vital role in continuing to position Lismore as a leading regional events destination.
Norco chief executive officer Michael Hampson said the event reflected the company’s long-standing connection to the region.
“Eat the Street is a fantastic celebration of Lismore’s vibrant food culture, and we are thrilled to help deliver an event that provides such a massive boost to our local retailers, producers and families.”
State Member for Lismore Janelle Saffin said the return of Eat the Street was a wonderful celebration of local food, creativity and community spirit.
“I’m excited to see how this year’s event will build on that success,” she said.
“I continue to back local events like this because they give businesses a boost, showcase our creative sector and bring people together in the heart of the community.”
