Building community, one plate at a time

NO BONES was founded on a simple belief: plant-based food should be exciting, satisfying and shared. That belief still guides us today: real food, good vibes and meaningful connection at the centre of it all.
We now serve tens of thousands of guests each year, but what matters most hasn’t changed. It’s not just what’s on the plate — it’s the laughter, the celebrations and the memories made around the table.
Meet Yasmina
For me, No Bones has always been about creativity, connection and hustle. I love what we’ve built together — not just the recipes or the events, but the relationships with our team and our community.
Becoming a mum in 2024 brought everything into a new kind of focus. It taught me to slow down, ask for help, find joy in the unexpected and realise that strength isn’t just about pushing harder — it’s about adapting. There have been tough days, but each one has taught me something about patience, love and what truly matters.
Running a business and raising a child at the same time hasn’t always been easy, but it’s been one of the greatest teachers of resilience and perspective I’ve ever had.
Meet Tahlia
Restaurants have always been part of my life. I grew up in them, with a dad who was a restaurateur for 40 years. I’ve also worked in local cafes and restaurants for more than 20 years, which feels wild to say at 34 years old.
Food has always been my love language and I grew up vegetarian, so sharing plant-based food and showing how good it can be has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
Opening No Bones felt like a natural step for me. It’s a space where all the things I care about come together — great food, connection, community and creating somewhere people genuinely feel good to be in.
Becoming a mum in 2025 added a whole new layer to everything. It’s made life fuller, messier and more meaningful all at once. Running a restaurant and raising a baby at the same time isn’t always graceful, but it constantly reminds me why this work matters.
I feel incredibly grateful to be part of this community and to get to do what I love every day.
Looking Ahead — Balancing Life & Vision
This International Women’s Day, what matters most is the journey: the choices we’ve made, the lessons we’ve learned and the joy of continuing to grow while staying true to ourselves. As women, mothers and business owners, we’re learning to embrace change in ways that feel right for us. After all, “we juggle a lot, but somehow we make it look like magic.”
Here’s to women supporting women, embracing messy journeys and thriving in our own way — one day, one plate, one laugh at a time.
