Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale’s yoga studio

March 8, 2024 BY

Lotus Yoga’s Studio’s Dianne Riley has been devoted to yoga for more than 30 years.

Yoga has been an integral part of Dianne’s life for more than 30 years, when she began watching Swami on TV when she was a child.

A love of yoga led Dianne to complete her Teacher Training where she gained insight into the yogic postures and how yoga can be accessible to all.

The anatomy component of her studies deepened her understanding of how the poses can suit the individual rather than making the individual fit the pose.

The philosophy behind the Lotus Yoga Studio is to allow everyone to feel the connection with their own strength, calm and inner wisdom.

The Lotus Yoga Studio is a fully accredited and registered provider for Yoga & Meditation classes with the NDIS.

The building underwent extensive renovations in 2022, becoming a purpose built, soothing, dedicated and fully accessible studio.

There is also the option of practising on the outside deck adjoining the heritage listed Norfolk Island pine, breathing in the fresh seaside air, soaking in the sun’s rays or during the evening, the ambience of the starlit sky.

There is also separate accommodation on site which allows for Yoga Retreats to be hosted from time to time.

Dianne and her team of highly qualified teachers are dedicated in sharing their unique offerings to all.

They will encourage students to “feel into the uniqueness of the body rather than attaining the perfect posture”.

Dianne as principal teacher and founding director of the Lotus Yoga Studio has completed extensive studies.

She is fully registered with Yoga Australia and Meditation Australia, the peak bodies for regulation within Australia.

“I value my studies and commitment to learning”, Dianne said.

The Lotus Yoga Studio provides an offering to the community where the approach to yoga and meditation honours the historic lineage, mixed with a holistic, modern day feel.

Dianne has navigated working in the business world, while raising a family and living a generally busy life. Yoga and Meditation has allowed her to maintain a balance in mind and body in everyday life.

This is reflected in the ethos of the studio “Serenity of Breath, Strength of Body and Wisdom of Mind”.

The Lotus Yoga Studio provides a free Community Class, every Sunday at 9.30am for all to enjoy. Beginners are always welcome at any of the classes.

Embark on a serene journey as you let the pathway guide you to Lotus Yoga Studio’s unique space.
