Jessica Mauboy will headline a surprise free live music event in Queenscliff next week, as Always Live extends its Victorian Vibes regional tour for one final encore.
The pop-up concert will take place on Saturday 25 July, marking an unplanned final stop for the state-wide series after its scheduled conclusion in Geelong.
ARIA Award-winning singer Jessica Mauboy will lead the free performance.
The regional tour has travelled more than 2,000km across Victoria, visiting Bendigo, Shepparton, Lorne, Ballarat, Traralgon and Geelong.
Across the six locations, 22 Australian artists have performed at free pop-up events attended by tens of thousands of people.
Always Live chief executive Psyche Payne said the response from communities across regional Victoria had prompted organisers to add one last event.
“Victorian Vibes has been embraced so warmly by communities right across the state, and while Geelong marked the end of our planned journey, we couldn’t resist one last encore,” Payne said.

“Queenscliff has such a rich connection to live music and is the perfect place to celebrate everything this series has achieved.
“We’ve seen tens of thousands of people come together through live music over the past few months, and this final pop-up is our way of saying thank you before we start looking ahead to what’s next.”
Bellarine MP Alison Marchant said the event would provide another reason for visitors to explore the region.
“The Bellarine will be buzzing when Always Live comes to our region. Queenscliff is a cultural hub and this will give people yet another reason to come and explore what’s on offer,” she said.
The exact performance location will be announced closer to the event through Always Live’s digital channels.
People planning to attend must register online to receive venue details.
The Victorian Vibes series is supported by the Victorian government through Visit Victoria as part of Always Live’s program celebrating Australian music while promoting regional tourism and local businesses.
