McGrath celebrates new Torquay office

MCGRATH Estate Agents has celebrated the opening of its new Torquay office with a launch event at Blackman’s Brewery.

Held on April 30, the gathering brought together long-standing clients, new customers and industry partners to mark the agency’s latest expansion into the Geelong region, with the new office located at 22 Bell Street.

“Everybody had an amazing time,” McGrath Torquay principal Sam Parsons said. “There were so many people in the room.”

The Torquay office, staffed by a locally-based team, has been designed to offer a welcoming, contemporary space for both clients and staff, while strengthening McGrath’s presence across Torquay and the wider region.

Parsons said McGrath had been active in the Torquay market for years through its Newtown, Geelong and Armstrong Creek offices, and the new site was a natural next step.

“Over the past five to 10 years, we’ve seen a lot of transient nature – people from Torquay coming to Armstrong Creek and into Geelong,” he said. “People from Geelong and Armstrong Creek are also wanting to go to Torquay.

“So strategically, it was a perfect spot for us to better service all of our clients across the corridor with those offices in place.”

He said the McGrath brand was built on a focus on premium service and strong market positioning.

“We believe that Torquay, on the Surf Coast with its beautiful properties, aligns perfectly with McGrath,” Parsons said.

“The Torquay market is a beautiful location; there’s so many people that want to live and dream about living on the Surf Coast, and if we can help them into their dream homes and also help our clients sell their homes, it’s a fantastic fit.”
