Implexa supply and incorporate sensory items for oral motor, tactile and fidget, fine and gross motor, balance, movement and auditory improvement and therapy.

Helping our kids be the best they can is at the heart of what we do.

IMPLEXA is a dynamic team of paediatric allied health professionals including speech pathologists, occupational therapists and behavioural therapists.

We are passionate about delivering innovative, fun and high-quality care in one-on-one settings as well as group programs.

Our unique approach has proven successful and we’ve grown from humble beginnings in a one room office to now delivering services across multiple sites in Ballarat and Maryborough. Implexa is also a registered NDIS provider.

Implexa started in 2016 with directors Tamara Wighton and Lorelei Wright driven to set up a multidisciplinary allied health service within the Ballarat region with the aim of providing high quality, engaging and evidence-based intervention.

Tamara and Lorelei, having worked in the allied health industry wanted to bring fun, innovative and diverse intervention programs to the Ballarat and Maryborough communities.

Implexa is proud to be one of the only suppliers of sensory items within the district and stock a wide variety of solutions to meet their client’s sensory needs. These include sensory items in the categories of oral motor, tactile and fidget, fine and gross motor, balance, movement and auditory.

Our team are trained to identify the needs of our clients, make recommendations and incorporate their sensory preferences into therapy. There are many benefits to including sensory items into therapy as well as in the home or education setting.

Sensory items incorporated into therapy can help with reduced anxiety, increased focus, support in language development, development of fine and gross motor skills and decreased behaviours of concern.

Implexa has a strong passion for honest, collaborative and outcome driven interventions that includes a holistic approach to therapy.

We believe every child has the right to reach their full potential and Implexa and its staff are driven to achieve this.

Additionally, Implexa had a successful 2019, having won the Ballarat Times News Group Health and Wellbeing Business Excellence awards at the Federation Business School Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards.
