AUSTRALIANS have spent more time at home in 2020 than ever before, fuelling record interest in new homes, renovations and mini-makeovers.

Metricon is bringing the insider information about upcoming trends, directly to design fans, with four interactive online sessions.

That’s why Metricon is running a series of four free online masterclasses to provide design enthusiasts with insight into emerging trends and tips on bathroom, colour, home office and kitchen design.

As part of the events the homebuilder is bringing insider information about upcoming trends, directly to design fans with the four interactive sessions running on Tuesday’s from 10 November to 1 December.

Presented over Zoom, the series will focus on the areas design aficionados want to learn about the most, with experts in each field providing highly sought-after advice and expertise that attendees can learn and apply to their own homes.

Hosted by interior designer, blogger and presenter Chris Carroll, participants will hear from panels of industry experts and will have the opportunity to ask questions about individual projects.

Starting at 12.30pm, the Tuesday, 10 November class will focus on bathroom trends.

Metricon’s design manager Ricky D’Alesio and Reece’s product marketing lead Amy Meiklejohn will share their expertise and industry insights to explore bathroom trends, including tapware, lighting, vanities, basins, mirrors, storage, technology and more.

At 12.30pm on Tuesday, 17 November it’s all about colour trends as Dulux Group’s colour and communications manager Andrea Lucena-Orr and Metricon’s senior interior designer Jacinta Evans explore colour schemes for your home, how to create cohesive combinations and what you can do to freshen your spaces.

From 12.30pm on Tuesday 24 November it’s back to work as home office trends become the focus with Mr D’Alesio and Ms Evans sharing tips on how to create a home workspace that is both stylish and functional, including how to maximise your space, stay organised and choose décor.

Lastly at 12.30pm on Tuesday, 1 December it’s time to get cooking as Mr D’Alesio and Ms Evans present their insider knowledge on how to create a contemporary functional kitchen and explore trends, including the top appliances, fittings, splashbacks, storage options and other design elements.
