FOLK artists from around Australia are performing at Kilderkin Distillery as part of the venue’s Spirited Sessions.
Beginning with pop-indie-folk storyteller Sadie Mustoe, there will also be performances by Rich Davies and the Low Road, Rhiz, Pete and the Taggin’ Along Band, Paper Jane, Skiffle Party, Enda Kenny, Fred Smith, and Michael Waugh.
“The Spirited Sessions are live intimate concerts held in the distillery door bar,” organiser Stirling Gill said.
“It’s a small venue so it’s very intimate and they are very much listening shows.”
Sadie Mustoe will perform at the distillery on Friday 7 November, providing a more contemporary take on folk music.
“Sadie very much encapsulates the future of folk music in Australia,” Mr Gill said.
“She is a young performer who is phenomenally talented and just starting on that journey.”
Kilderkin Distillery owner Rebecca Mathews encouraged the community to come and support live music.
“Chris [Pratt] and I have long been very much supporters of the local folk and music scene, and we go to lots of festivals,” she said.
“We are not musicians ourselves but love music, so it was natural for us to bring some of that into the distillery.
“It is also about supporting musicians because they have had a really hard time through COVID and that has continued since.”
