Ballarat top again off back of Vic roll

PREMIERS

BALLARAT defeated Victoria, 76-56, and take over as the new ladder leaders while Victoria slid down to second. Webbcona had a win against Sebastopol, 91-57, and hold onto third. Creswick caused an upset defeating BMS, 71-56. Learmonth had a close win against Mount Xavier, 74-66 as did Buninyong in defeating Central Wendouree, 63-58. There are 17 points separating five teams fighting for fourth position.

City Oval had a comfortable win over Beaufort, 105-77, and remain top of the table. Linton also had a good win against Ballarat East, 113-72, and maintain second. Midlands hold third despite losing to Avenue, 98-87. Smeaton got home by three shots over Waubra, 95-92 and move up a spot. Webbcona loss to Sebastopol, 103-96 sees them slide down a position.

There is not much movement in this division. Despite losing to Ballarat, 97-82, Victoria are still top the ladder. BMS secured a win, defeating Daylesford, 116-62 and sit second. Ballarat North beat Buninyong on the road, 103-84, and hold onto third. Invermay was too strong for City Oval, 111-68, and Clunes defeated Ballan, 96-87.

BMS stay top of the ladder despite a two-point loss to Daylesford, 89-87. Victoria scrapped home by one-shot over Mount Xavier, 80-79 and hold second. City Oval had a comfortable win against Avenue, 116-68. Sebastopol secured a win at home against Webbcona, 112-86 and Buninyong defeated Central Wendouree, 96-74.

 

DIVISION 5

Midlands proved too strong for Sebastopol, 125-60, and remain ladder leaders. Victoria, despite losing to Smeaton by one-shot, 92-91, maintain second. Waubra were also defeated by one-shot against Learmonth yet hold onto third. City Oval were too strong for Beaufort, 114-56, and Creswick received a walkover from Ballarat East.

 

DIVISION 6

BMS hold onto top spot defeating Victoria, 124-70. Ballarat North jump into second after securing the win against Invermay, 97-69. City Oval defeated Bungaree, 89-83, and push their foes down into third. Central Wendouree had a win against Clunes, 89-81 and Sebastopol defeated Webbcona, 119-83.

 

DIVISION 7

Linton stay top of the ladder on the back of a win over Victoria, 98-81. Ballarat got up over BMS, 105-73, and maintain second. Ballan had a narrow escape, defeating Midlands by one-shot, 102-101, and hold third.

 

DIVISION 8

Daylesford are still ladder leaders after defeating Smeaton, 55-42. Waubra move up into second after a win over Ballarat, 83-71. Ballarat North got home against Learmonth, 52-45 yet drop to third. Central Wendouree were too strong for Buninyong, 52-35.
