Brawlers set for UFC main event

After two years, Israel Adesanya and Robert Whittaker will square off in the octagon once more in the main-event of UFC 271.

New Zealand’s Adesanya, the undisputed middleweight champion, will put his belt on the line against the Australian in Houston, Texas on February 13th.

The former knocked out the latter in October of 2019 in a UFC event held in Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium to take the crown from the Aussie.

Adesanya has been dominant in the middleweight division, defending his title successfully against Yoel Romero, Paulo Costa and Marvin Vettori.

Whittaker meanwhile has also regained his momentum with three consecutive wins.

UFC 269 was held overnight, with Julianna Peña submitting Brazilian legend Amanda Nunes, while Australian heavyweight Tai Tuivasa was also victorious.
