ANGE Postecoglou has Celtic firing after another dazzling display in Scottish Premiership recently.

Celtic thrashed 10-man St Mirren 6-0 at Celtic Park – their sixth straight win in all competitions – scoring 24 goals and conceding just four in that time.

The result moved the Scottish giants to the top of the league for the first time this season ahead of Sunday’s Old Firm derby against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers at Ibrox.

Postecoglou praised Celtic’s “relentless” approach in recording their second consecutive 6-0 league win.

“We set off at a good tempo and put them under pressure,” the former Socceroos boss told BBC post-game.

“The sending off enabled us to control the game very well.

“Right to the end, we were pushing. We want to be relentless in our pursuit of playing our football.

“Today was a good test of that.”

Postecoglou’s side travel to the Netherlands to face AZ Alkmaar in the second leg of their Europa League tie, before meeting their bitter rivals in first Old Firm derby of the season.

Rangers are the defending Scottish champions after finishing 25 points above the Hoops last season.
