PREMIERS

AN extremely close competition with this week’s results finding the top four teams within a six-point margin of each other. Ballarat defeated Mt Xavier 76-66 while BMS had a win over Learmonth 68-59. Creswick snuck home against Buninyong by two shots, 70-68. It was even closer in Sebastopol’s one-shot win over Victoria 63-62, but Victoria are still the ladder leaders. Webbcona had a strong win over Central Wendouree 75-56 and maintain Second position. Sebastopol move up to fill third place.

DIVISION 1

This division is also super close, as the top five teams within four points of each other. Avenue defeated City Oval 90-86 however City Oval are still the ladder leaders. Smeaton verses Beaufort produced a mixed result with Smeaton victors 102-92. Waubra defeated Sebastopol 96-85 also with mixed rink results. Waubra maintains second position. Webbcona’s win against Ballarat East 97-85 places them in third spot. Linton had a close game against Midlands winning by four shots 88-84.

DIVISION 2

BMS were to strong for Invermay 114-79. They have had a great start to the season and are leading the pack, Invermay are sitting 3rd. City Oval had a comfortable win over Ballarat 109-77. Victoria defeated Ballarat 92-86 and move up a spot to second. Ballarat North had a four rink win against Clunes 114-84. Buninyong verses Daylesford was a tighter struggle, Buninyong victors 97-88.

DIVISION 3

Bungaree are definitely the favourites in this division defeating Avenue 132-59, strengthening their claim to top spot. Anything can happen but they will be hard to beat. The rest of the field is very close. Smeaton defeated Learmonth 90-87, yet Learmonth move into third overall. Midlands against Linton was close, Midlands winning 92-89. Webbcona had a three rink win over Central Wendouree 104-81 and Creswick move into second place after defeating Sebastopol 117-73.

DIVISION 4

BMS keep moving up the ladder and secured top spot this week by beating Avenue 119-59 in a strong four rink performance. Victoria also move up this week, securing second after downing Sebastopol 116-84. Daylesford’s loss to Buninyong 100-89 finds them dropping to third with a strong mid field looking to move up. Mt Xavier had a close win against City Oval 89-86. Webbcona at home to Central Wendouree was abandoned.

DIVISION 5

Six points separate the top four teams in this division. City Oval’s loss to Learmonth 103-82 sees them tumble from first to fourth on the ladder. Midlands had a day out against Ballarat East 177-85 and leapfrogged from third to first. Victoria’s five-shot win against Sebastopol 95-90 sees them hold on to second place. Smeaton had a convincing win against Beaufort 103-77 and move into third. Waubra also had a good win against Creswick 114-73.

DIVISION 6

BMS had a good win over Bungaree 94-72 meaning they held top position. 11 points separate second to fifth place. Ballarat North had a strong win against Webbcona 125-61 moving up a spot into second. Central Wendouree return to the top three defeating Invermay 123-61. City Oval had a four rink win over Clunes 97-73. Victoria had a comfortable win against Sebastopol 113-80.

DIVISION 7

Buninyong verses Linton and Ballan verses BMS were both abandoned. Midlands are the current ladder leaders by one-point after defeating Mt Xavier 110-76. Nine points separate first to fourth. Ballarat are sitting second, and Ballan jumped them in the wrong direction, going from first to third. Victoria convincingly defeated Sebastopol 120-54.

DIVISION 8

Waubra defeated Ballarat North 66-35 to claim top of the ladder. Buninyong was to good for Smeaton, 54-44 and moves into third. City Oval went over Ballarat 69-41. Daylesford had a win against Bungaree 42-34 and but found themselves dropping to second place on percentage. The rest of the field is very close. Central Wendouree verses Learmonth was abandoned.
