FIXTURES for the upcoming McDonald’s Ballarat Football Netball League junior comp have been released.

The 16 round regular season will get underway on 14 April and run through to 18 August, with four weeks of finals concluding on 15 September.

The league is also growing, with more teams hitting the park from the Ballarat Storm and a new Under 9s comp supported by the Western Bulldogs.

Along with the regular season fixtures, the Ballarat Toyota Lightning Premiership goes on the weekend of 6-7 April at Marty Busch Reserve.

Inter-league action will see the Ballarat league take on the Riddell District FNL on Saturday 11 May in Sunbury while a second carnival against the Bendigo JFNL for the traditional Goldfields Trophy is set for June.

Full league byes will take place over Easter, the Queens Birthday weekend and the middle weekend of the July school holidays.

As there’s so much football planed, with juniors, seniors, youth girls and women, the AFL Goldfields female football operations department has worked with council to create equality in access to facilities and spread games across the region’s venues.
