CARLTON premiership player and AFL Hall of Famer Anthony Koutoufides will take the reins of the McDonalds Ballarat Football League senior rep squad this year.

The two-time All Australian will guide the side in its Saturday, 2 March interleague fixture against the Bendigo Football League.

“To have a champion of the game in Anthony Koutoufides willing to commit to leading the BFNL in this campaign speaks highly of the calibre of our competition and we are thrilled to have Anthony on board for this year,” said Ballarat league chair Adrian Bettio.

Shaun Grigg had been announced in the senior rep coaching role before taking a job with Geelong in the AFL.

With the start to the BNFL season just over two-and-a-half months away, the search for players for the interleague squad will being soon.
