CHRISTMAS wishes were not quite met on Lake Wendouree for Ballaarat Yacht Club’s pre-holiday races.

Winds were from the south and south easterly ranging from light and gentle at two to three knots to five to eight every now and again but enough for the jubilees to get there spinnakers up on the back leg and they looked superb.

The light breezes tests skipper’s capabilities to get the maximum out of what’s available and again a range of juniors were out in different boats – micron and Lasers and pacers.

The day was followed up with a presentation of the 2019/ 2020 season awards that had been delayed by the virus.
