THE best of the best netballers from the Ballarat Netball League will take to the court this Saturday.

Nine players from five teams will come together for the Worksafe Community Championship against the Hampden netball rep side at MARS stadium.

The BFNL side will be coached by Michael Saker, selected in part, based on his 2018 coach of the year effort.

Players from North Ballarat City fill almost half the team, with four of the positions going to players from that squad.

Lake Wendouree have two names on the list, including team captain Kara Hart and fellow veteran Kirsty Walsh.

Debutants at the interleague level include Madison Quayle, Maddison Selmon and Poppy Douglass.

Saker believes the team is a good mix of youth and experience and is confident they will be competitive.

The team is made up of Emma Church, Maddy Selmon, Jordyn Bibby and Poppy Douglass – all from North Ballarat City, Kara Hart and Kirsty Walsh from Lake Wendouree, Beth Smith from East Point, Maddy Quayle from Sebastopol and Kalia Ingham from Bacchus Marsh.
