Volleyball’s spring season wraps up

A Grade grand final – Phantoms defeat White Knights 3-0

WHITE Knights we’re defending champions having won three of the last four seasons but couldn’t match the fire power of the Phantoms line up featuring four State League players including Ben Hassell, Georgie Hassell, Henry Murnane and Kristyl Seiler and up and coming star Liam Holding. Phantoms dominated the match early building a 13-4 lead before White Knights fought back to hit the front 16-14 but after a strategic time out, Phantoms ran away with the match.

In the B Grade grand final the Buffaloes defeated BCC Baboons 3-1

Volleyball Ballarat’s 2020 Mixed Social competition will start again at the Minerdome at the beginning of February. Organisers particularly encourage any workplaces who might be looking to provide their staff for a social, fun and active experience to consider volleyball as an option. Sitting volleyball opportunities will also be available for those looking at an inclusive option.
