Bridge offers key link for walkers and bike riders alike
Bayview Estate can now get to school quicker after Griggs Creek Bridge officially opened last week.
Bellarine MP Lisa Neville cut the ribbon on Friday before excited pupils ran to the end of the bridge and back.
Bayview Estate development manager John Grigg said the bridge complemented the recently completed Griggs Creek landscaping, providing a fabulous parkland area with views to the Bay and along the creek nature reserve.
“The bridge will be a great asset for all the community being a key link for walkers and bike riders alike.
“For the residents of Bayview Estate, it will also provide very quick access to the Clifton Springs Primary School and to the recently opened Eclipse Childcare Centre at 156 Jetty Road.”
Sinclair Brook are the development and project managers for the Bayview Estate and TGM were the consulting engineers for the delivery of the bridge.
The construction of the bridge was funded by Bayview under the Curlewis Growth Area Development Contribution Plan as a piece of key infrastructure, and Bayview would like to thank all those many people who helped make it happen.
