WITH applications to close soon, schools are being encouraged to apply for funding from Western United Football Club’s School’s IN program.

The funding will enable schools to get a visit from the A-League side, who will run a clinic to introduce children to the sport.

Western United schools, clubs and community manager Pete Bradley encouraged schools to apply, as the club was not simply looking to visit a select few.

“We are committed to visiting every school in the west, so we’d encourage all schools to head online and secure funding during this two-week period to ensure they don’t miss out,” he said.

The visits are held during school hours and are suitable for students of all ages and abilities.

School’s IN sessions are run by coaches who have been endorsed by the club and are certified to work with children.

The program looks to encourage teamwork and togetherness as well as inspiring a love for the game and a positive attitude to physical exercise in general.
