Auctions are set to kick back into gear across the Surf Coast, Geelong and the Bellarine this weekend, with a host of properties at a range of price points due to go under the hammer.

Inner city suburbs, quiet bayside living and one of Lorne’s most prestigious addresses will all be in the spotlight tomorrow (Saturday, January 28) as the public sales return after a quiet period during summer.

The region’s headline auction is Waverley House at 3 Deans Marsh Road, Lorne, which has an indicative selling price of $5.5 million to $5.9 million.

A Hamptons-style home at 27 Woolondoon Drive, Highton is predicted to auction for about $1.2 million to $1.3 million.

The circa-1880 Victorian-era freestone mansion overlooks the Great Ocean Road and Erskine River on an enormous 1,960sqm block.

A gallery hall, a formal drawing/living room, a dining room for 14 guests and open fire with mahogany mantle provides a feel from a different era, while master suite, quality cabinetry and fixtures throughout and modern kitchen and bathroom areas add touches of modern luxury.

The auction comes after a record-breaking summer at the top end of Surf Coast real estate, with notable sales including 1193 Great Ocean Road, Big Hill that sold for a Lorne region record north of $8 million, while 98 The Esplanade smashed Torquay’s record after selling for more than $7 million.

299 The Esplanade, Indented Head is expected to command close to $2 million.

On the Bellarine, a builder’s residence with front row views across Port Phillip Bay is tipped to lead the way.

299 The Esplanade, Indented Head is slated to sell for between $1.8 million and $1.98 million with its spacious balconies gazing across the bay to Melbourne and enduring quality within set to wow prospective buyers.

A prime-located development or subdivision opportunity in the tightly-held north precinct of Portarlington at 2 Turner Court and another bayside opportunity at 701 Pigdon Street, Indented Head are also predicted to command more than $1 million at auctions tomorrow.

Some of Geelong’s top suburbs will also have their markets tested, including from a recently renovated Hamptons-style home at 27 Woolondoon Drive, Highton; a central, waterfront property at 19 The Esplanade South, Geelong; a gardens-precinct townhouse at 6 Davison Place, Geelong; and a private pocket of Newtown at 18 Vista Road.
