GEELONG Racing Club has issued comprehensive transportation guidelines for those attending the bet365 Geelong Cup on Wednesday, October 25.

Slated to be a day full of thrilling horse races, high fashion, gourmet food and wine, the Geelong Cup promises an unmatched experience for race enthusiasts and casual attendees alike.

A limited number of general admission tickets are still up for grabs. With diverse offerings, there’s something for every attendee, ensuring a memorable experience at the Geelong Racing Club.

Location and parking
The Geelong Racecourse, situated at 99 Breakwater Road, Breakwater. There is ample free parking on site, and in the event of the main car park reaching capacity, an auxiliary car park across the road will be available.

Complimentary bus services
The Geelong Racing Club is offering free bus services on race day.
Arrival –
Pickup: South Geelong Station (Yarra Street)
Drop-off: Geelong Racing Club
Frequency: Every half-hour between 10.30am to 1.30pm
Identification: Buses marked with “Geelong Cup” on the windscreen
Departure –
Pickup: Adjacent gate to the racecourse within the showgrounds|
Drop-off: South Geelong Station and Moorabool Street interchange
Frequency: Every half-hour from 4.30pm to 7pm
Identification: Buses marked with “South Geelong Station and City” on the windscreen

Public transport
For attendees preferring public transport, a V/Line service from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station to Geelong takes about 57 minutes. Following this, the Route 40 bus, operating on weekdays, provides a connection from the station to Church/Tucker Street. The racecourse is a five-minute walk.
