March 5, 2020 BY

Ocean Grove Community Association (OGCA) chair Phil Edwards, with Dan Cowdell from Mondo Energy, Suze Brown (OGCA), Dan Brooke from Mondo Energy and Kurt Pamvouxoglou from City to Surf Solar, at a renewable energy forum in Ocean Grove.

HUNDREDS of residents and businesses took part in the Ocean Grove Community Association (OGCA) and 100% Clean Bellarine’s community solar and battery program on February 26.

Two sold-out community forums took place at Ocean Grove’s Shell Road Pavilion with about 300 Bellarine locals in attendance, keen to invest in clean energy.

Suzie Brown, project organiser from Ocean Grove Community Association (OGCA) said due to popular demand OGCA has scheduled two more forums on Wednesday, March 11 at 1.30pm and 7.30pm which are now open for bookings.

“We designed the program to make it easy for homes and businesses to get solar panels and batteries and access the government rebates,” Ms Brown said.

“We’re really pleased that so many people want to take part – they can see it will help them cut their energy bills as well as help to reduce carbon pollution.”

The OGCA and 100% Clean Bellarine have partnered with Mondo and local installer, City to Surf Solar, to provide a solar and battery offer for residents and business owners across the Bellarine.
