ST JOSEPH’S College has appointed Josip Zilic as the new technical director and coach for their senior football team programs.

College principal Tony Paatsch expressed his enthusiasm for Zilic’s appointment, highlighting his role in working with the college’s elite players and teams.

“Josip Zilic will be working with our elite players and teams at training during this semester and for their ACC games in term two,” Mr Paatsch said.

“He will be supported by Tom Trupkovic; our SJC football operations (soccer) manager and Liverpool FC IA site lead.

“This is an exciting addition to our excellence programs which currently provide training and pathways for our elite performers across a range of sports.”

Zilic, with a rich coaching background from his nearly 20-year tenure at North Geelong Warriors FC, brings extensive experience across all age groups to the college.

He shared his gratitude for the opportunity to join St Joseph’s College, and emphasised his eagerness to contribute his knowledge from the football community to the school and its students.

“Thank you to Tony Paatsch and the selection team for the opportunity to come into the St Joseph’s College family to undertake the head coaching and technical director role,” Mr Zilic said.

St Joseph’s College is also set to host six tour days for Year 7 2025 families starting on March 18.
