Three teenage girls have been charged following the alleged assault of a 13-year-old boy in central Geelong earlier this week.
Victoria Police allege four female offenders assaulted the boy on Moorabool Street about 5.15pm on Monday, May 18.
The teenager was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident.
Police arrested three 14-year-old girls from the Geelong area yesterday afternoon.
All three have been charged with affray and behaving in a riotous manner in a public place.
They were bailed to appear before a children’s court at a later date.
Police said the parties involved were known to each other.
One alleged offender remains outstanding and investigations are continuing.
Investigators are calling for witnesses or anyone with footage of the incident to come forward.
