Cinematic sounds by Candlelight

The concert is an original initiative of entertainment platform Fever, part of a broader multi-sensory Candlelight series held in unique and awe-inspiring settings.

THERE’S never been a more romantic event held at the Civic Hall.

You’ve heard of carols by candlelight, but this Heritage Festival, it’s time to be charmed by the live performance of iconic cinematic music by candlelight.

The show is known as simply Candlelight, the performance is the work of the The Invictus Quartet and Eclective Strings ensemble who combining to become an orchestra set to enchant and delight audiences by the warm, magical, serene glow of thousands of candles.

They will be bringing to life the work of Hans Zimmer, John Williamson, Joe Hisaishi and more, as part of the Candlelight concert.

The program will feature Now We are Free from Gladiator, the Top Gun Anthem from Top Gun: Maverick, Merry Go Round of Life from Howl’s Moving Castle, the Lion King Medley, A Whole New World from Aladdin, Let It Go from Frozen, and many more.

Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany’s, the theme from The Godfather, Reflection from Mulan, Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid, A medley from Pirates of the Caribbean, the theme from Mission Impossible, James Bond’s No Time To Die, and the theme from Batman are also on the set list amongst many other cinematic songs.

Candlelight is expected to run for about 90 minutes, and the doors to the theatre will open 30 minutes before the show’s starting time.

Seating will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and late entry will not be permitted.

The show is set for Friday, 26 May at 7.30pm at Ballarat Civic Hall, and is an accessible event.

Tickets range from $25 to $64 and can be purchased at ballaratheritagefestival.com.au.
