Become a Visit Ballarat Tourism Ambassador

IF you’re passionate about tourism events in Ballarat then here’s an opportunity for you.

Now is your chance to become a Visit Ballarat Tourism Ambassador and sign up for all the enjoyable and rewarding experiences that the role offers.

Visit Ballarat is inviting expressions of interest from interested, communityminded people to participate in its Tourism Ambassador program.

You can support the development of events, arts, culture and tourism within Ballarat and surrounding regions and to promote the local community and its visitor experiences.

As a Visit Ballarat Tourism Ambassador, you will be involved with marquee events and festivals and your role will include welcoming visitors to the city and events, assisting with the evaluation of events and festivals, distributing visitor information, directing visitors to points of interest and conducting short visitor surveys.

As a Visit Ballarat Tourism Ambassador you’ll need to be approachable, punctual, knowledgeable, well-presented and available for two or three events per year.

You will also need to be available to attend occasional briefing and debriefing sessions as part of the pre-event planning and post-event evaluation.

In return for your time, you will be provided with basic training and a uniform. During events, a Visit Ballarat employee will also be available to provide you with all the advice and support you need.
