MEMBERS at Teesdale Tennis Club are collaborating with Attack Tennis Academy and Hot Shots Tennis to deliver a free community event to get people interested in the sport.

Taking place at the Don Wallace Reserve, the initiative will run over two sessions on Thursday 12 and Thursday 19 October, and will entail cardio tennis for adults and hot shot activities for kids.

Participants are required to bring their own runners and racquets though the latter can be lent by staff.

Both days will feature half-hour sessions from 3.30pm to 5.30pm, pairing kids aged prep to grade 1, grade 2 to 3, grade 4 to 5, and grade 6 to 7.

The adult sessions will follow, running from 6pm to 7pm and Attack Tennis Academy’s Jordy Aitken will lead the two sessions.

Following the clinic, adults are encouraged to sign up to Teesdale Tennis Club’s six-week program for which they will receive a free racquet.

The program will begin from Thursday the week after the clinic, and will run at the same time as the free sessions until late November.
