THE voice behind Australia’s biggest-selling single of 2004 is coming to Ballarat next month.

Celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, That’s What I’m Talking About, Shannon Noll is set to hit the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts to play much of the album.

He said the show will be a trip down memory lane for many.

“It’s been about 15 years since we’ve played a lot of the tracks off this album so I’m looking forward to having some nostalgia moments and thinking back to the very beginning of the journey,” he said.

“It’s funny to dive back into these songs and realise it’s not gonna take a lot to get that muscle memory kicking back in.

“With the music and lyrics, it brings back a lot of great memories as well.”

The tour will coincide with the release of a 20th anniversary edition of That’s What I’m Talking About set to hit shelves Friday 5 April.

The release features two new songs including a duet with Cosima De Vito called Don’t You Wanna Stay, and No Time which marks Noll’s collaborative reunion with What About Me songwriter Gary Frost.

Noll said the setlist will be an encapsulation of his recording career.

“We’ll do a bunch of songs off the first album itself in the first half of the show,” he said.

“After the initial revisiting of that, we’ll pick out some of the bigger songs over the time being after that. Nearly all of them will be singles so it’s revisiting the album and then all the big hits.”

Shannon Noll’s Ballarat show will be on Saturday, 20 April with tickets from $72.80 to $100.30 and available at bit.ly/4bVCygz.
