AS part of the City of Greater Bendigo’s commitment to the creative arts in Heathcote, plans for a magazine-style publication are underway.

Titled Creative Heathcote, it will be distributed throughout the region.

Susie Marcroft from Mudwood Studio has been commissioned to collate information about creative groups, individuals and enterprises in the Heathcote area.

“It is a great opportunity for all kinds of artists,” said Ms Marcroft.

“A chance to get to know the creative underbelly of the town.”

The publication will showcase the artistic practices of local artists and artisans, writers, poets, musicians and performers.

Through the publication, CoGB aims to inform a wide audience of where work can be viewed or experienced in person or online.

“Creative Heathcote will provide creatives with a platform to get to know each other,” said Ms Marcroft.

“And from that there will be exciting possibilities for collaboration in the future.”

Venues, galleries, organisations, and businesses with experience-based offerings committed to supporting local creative arts and initiatives are also welcome for inclusion in the publication.

Creative people can email Ms Marcroft at Mudwood Studios for submission details.

The submission deadline is 3 May.
