HEATHCOTE Fire Brigade has taken delivery of a new Toyota Landcruiser, replacing a 17-year-old Ford Ranger.
The new vehicle purchase was made possible through the Volunteer Emergency Services Equipment Program (VESEP) and the fire brigade’s fundraising efforts.

“The new vehicle will be a great asset to our brigade,” Heathcote Fire Brigade Captain Carl Watkins said.
“We are very grateful for the $128,333 grant provided by VESEP and to the community for supporting our fundraising efforts which contributed $24,167 to the total cost of the new vehicle.

“Our Ford Ranger has served us well, but the new Toyota Landcruiser has updated safety gear and features and will be much appreciated.
“The Ford Ranger will be for sale in the near future.”
