THE St Vincent de Paul Heathcote Conference last month celebrated 20 years of providing assistance to Heathcote residents.

Vinnies also provided extra help to more than 140 families in need over Christmas.

“We celebrated with a wonderful Christmas break-up,” conference president Sharon Grass said.

“With the generous donations we received from Heathcote residents and Mandalay Resources, we were able to give presents to all our clients’ children.

St Vincent de Paul Heathcote Conference was able to give gifts to local children thanks to community support.

“The Lions Club very generously donated Christmas cakes which were also distributed.

“We enjoyed a barbecue lunch thanks to the wonderful support of McIvor Meats, IGA and Gaffney’s Bakery.

“Musician Cody Bracken provided entertainment on the day which was enjoyed by all.”

Ms Grass said the members of the conference appreciate all the support they have received over the past 20 years.

“We are very grateful to all those people who have volunteered and supported us over the years and are very proud to still be operating successfully today,” she said.
